Wineries Oriented BC B&B Inns

There is no better way to understand the Wines of British Columbia than to visit the places they’re made.     There are four main wine regions in BC, each producing a range of grape varieties and wines – the Okanagan Valley, The Wine Islands (Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands), the Fraser Valley and the Similkameen Valley.  The BC Bed and Breakfast Innkeepers Guild has members throughout all these regions, and invite you stay with us as you  “Follow the Wine Trail” on a journey through any or all of these beautiful parts of our province.

The Cowichan Valley is the heart of BC's newest wine region, the Wine Islands. An ever growing number of wineries are opening up and down Vancouver Island and on the Gulf Islands. The first four wineries opened in the Cowichan around 1992: Vigneti Zanatta, Venturi-Schulze, Cherry Point, Blue Grouse, and Merridale Cidery. The number of wineries has since more than doubled. Several have restaurants on site which are open seasonally. The Cowichan Wine & Culinary Festival - Sept. 7 - 15, 2013
