Canada’s 2012 Culture Days is a national arts event that runs from September 28-30 and will celebrate its third year as an annual event. Culture Days in the Thompson Okanagan

Kelowna artist Crystal Przybille gives a presentation on public art, its forms, and its benefits to the local community. She will also talk about her art practice and recent European art tour.
Fall Art Show and Sale at Oliver Community Centre
An arts competition for artists from the South Okanagan and beyond covers seven categories: fibre arts, mixed/new media, oils, photography, three-dimensional arts, watercolors and youth arts. Come browse and buy local art. Wine tasting in conjunction with Festival of the Grape on Sunday.
Yarn Bombing & Knitting Instruction
Kamloops Art Gallery and volunteers have organized a “yarn bombing” of downtown Kamloops trees to accompany knitting classes at the gallery.

Vancouver North Shore
Iain Baxter& is one of Canada’s most beloved artists. The multi-site exhibition takes place in three venues and covers two of the more obscure periods of his work, which occurred when he was living in North Vancouver.
Ladner & Delta Art Displays
The Reach Gallery Museum hosts a Movie Night screening of “The Kite Runner” on Friday, a tour of & workshop for Amy Loewen’s “Illuminating Peace” on Saturday, and Family Arts activities on Sunday.
On all three days, The Art Machine community arts centre hosts Paper Mache Extravaganza and the Hope Library hosts Write! A Community Collaborative Writing Project.
Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast will be hosting the Writing for Fun workshop with Cathie Roy, Associate Publisher of the Coast Reporter newspaper, at the Public Library on Saturday and Sechelt Arts Alive, a volunteer educational workshop and live performances by local artists, will be held at the Seaside Centre on Sunday.
Whistler & Blackcomb
The Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont in Whistler is the centre for Culture Days activities with 8 events over three days. The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre presents The Spirit Within Festival, celebrating traditional & contemporary First Nations culture, on Saturday. The Fairmont Chateau Whistler will present Sugar Art with French Pastry Chef Laurent Bernard on Sunday.
