The 2013 PuSh Festival, a signature winter performing arts event in Vancouver, BC, returns for its ninth season January 15 through February 3 at venues all across the city.

Atomic Vaudeville of Victoria presents the darkly humorous musical about the members of a Uranium, Saskatchewan high school chamber choir who perish in a roller coaster accident and are brought back to life by the Amazing Karnack, a mechanized fortuneteller.
A collection of human books will be available to check out for 20-30 minutes on the third floor of the library for your perusal. Stop the Violence (Copenhagen, Denmark) presents interactive living books, with 30 “titles” ranging from “Born Again Christian” to “Drag Queen.”
Ana Sokolovic’s Svadba/Wedding
January 21-22, 8:00 PM
Svadba is an a cappella opera of six women’s voices telling the story of girlfriends preparing their friend for her wedding and blends Serbian folk song melodies, contemporary music, and strong rhythms.
BC Ballet presents Encore, a program of diverse dance that rekindles three popular works in the troupe’s repertoire: William Forsythe’s Herman Schmerman, Elo’s 1st Flash, and Medhi Walerski’s Petite Cérémonie.
Contemporary Legend Theater of Taipei, Taiwan presents Shakespeare’s classic as you’ve never experienced it: a solo Peking Opera by Wu Hsing-Kuo with an eight-person instrumental ensemble accompaniment.
