Happy British Columbia Day! We Love BC

Happy British Columbia Day to everyone across this beautiful province! We have to admit, BC is a pretty amazing place! To live, to work, to visit or to stay! There were so many celebrations this weekend in every region, we can’t even list them all!

On Vancouver Island, Victoria was host to another acclaimed and successful Symphony Splash as well as Celebrate BC Day where families gathered at beautiful St.Ann’s for a line up of very talented artists and musicians, and enjoyed food, fun, music and laughter!

Also this weekend wrapped up Honda Celebration of Light, an international spectacle of fireworks!

Not only is BC home to some amazing cities, events and people, but it is home to some great accomodations! Our BC Bed & Breakfast innkeepers are some of the most welcoming and fantastic hosts! Experience the unique inns of British Columbia and some of the best breakfasts you’ll get anywhere!

Hi We are travelling from the UK to BC this June or September to spend some time with our son on Vancouver Island. We are trying to put together a travel plan staying at BnBs.Some initial thoughts are to fly into Calgary and drive to the North of Vancouver and pick up a ferry to the north end of Vancouver Island then head back home from Vancouver in all around 3 weeks in BC.
We would welcome some suggestions as to what to see, we are OAPs but pretty active.
    Thanks for any help

  2. Hello Keith & Clare:
Great to hear that you’re traveling to British Columbia this summer. Flying into Calgary and then driving through BC to the coast is a great idea and will allow you to see quite a bit of the province. Our B&B website is divided by regions http://www.bcsbestbnbs.com/listings_by_region.php and you can find some basic information for each region as well as members in each regions through that search. For more detailed information on various parts of BC search through this link http://www.bcsbestbnbs.com/regionalinfo.php You can also find travel routes here http://www.hellobc.com/british-columbia/trip-ideas.aspx

I hope that gives you some places to start for route ideas and B&B accommodation suggestions. Hope you have a wonderful time in BC and visiting with your family!
