Close to both Vancouver Island, Metro Vancouver, and the Sunshine Coast, Salt Spring Island offers escape and some summer refreshment.

One of the Southern Gulf Islands in British Columbia’s Strait of Georgia, Salt Spring Island almost has a rural feel, with local wildlife, farms sprinkled throughout and a vibrant downtown core in Ganges. The island offers mild weather, incredible views, and friendly and creative people, so needless to say, a stay at a Salt Spring Island Bed and Breakfast is sure to be pleasantly memorable.

Anchor Point Bed and Breakfast Suite
Relax in the Terrace Suite at the sailclub on Ganges harbour. Private self contained designer queen-size 1 bedroom suite, with living/dining space, WiFi/cable/DVD/MP3 and harbour views. Island breakfasts delivered to your suite. The convenience of Full Service, but with total privacy. All “Yours to Enjoy”.

Quarrystone House
All four guest rooms are located in a separate building from the main house, joined by a patio, ensuring complete privacy. All rooms have their own entrance, private patio/balcony, fireplace,  jacuzzi tub, WiFi/tv/dvd, fridge, microwave, robes etc. A full three course country breakfast is served, kids and pets welcome.

Salt Spring has so much to offer, you can’t take it all in over just one visit. Visit the Saturday Morning Market in Ganges Centennial Park, for a taste of what grows here; be sure to sample the island’s kiwi and olive.  The wines of Salt Spring Island are world renowned – indeed it is difficult to keep the blackberry port on the shelves. Thanks to the mild climate, the wines are known for their fruity tastes and earthy aromas. There are two wineries on Salt Spring Island, both of which are open for visitation and tastings.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy hiking to the top of Mount Maxwell or through 80 Acre Park, kayaking the shoreline, and biking along quiet country roads. Many spots on the island offer terrific views of Vancouver Island, the Coast Mountains on the mainland of British Columbia, and the Olympic Mountains in Washington State.

When ready to relax, try an afternoon at a spa, or an evening of good food and music at a restaurant or pub. Of course, it is also lovely to curl up with a good book at a Salt Spring Island BC Bed and Breakfast.
