Chy Gwyth in the ancient Cornish language  means "house on the hill" and reflects not only the location of this new architecturally designed house but also the heritage of your hosts. The house is designed to provide luxury, and facilitates exclusive service in unsurpassed surroundings and panoramic views. Each guest room provides stunning vistas that take in Saltspring Island, Satellite Channel, the inland mountains and the Southern Gulf Islands.

The guests enjoy their own complete suite of rooms consisting of two bedrooms, one with a Queen size bed and the other with twin beds. A well equipped lounge with comfortable sofas, Chinese furniture and original art includes a TV, microwave, and bar fridge. A full bathroom including shower and tub completes the guest suite.

The rooms are comfortably furnished with contemporary and Chinese furniture and pieces of original art collected in our travels in Asia. Guests are treated to high quality linens, bath robes, and all the creature comforts to ensure that their stay is a memorable one.

Chy Gwyth is ideally located to serve guests with the convenience of being close to the International airport, the Swartz Bay and Anacortes Ferry terminals and Downtown Victoria (40 minutes away). The seaside town of Sidney with its family restaurants, gift, convenience and grocery stores is only 15 minutes away.

Tourists come the West Coast to enjoy the wonderful environment and outdoor attractions such as fishing, hiking, kayaking, sailing, and whale watching which are all readily available and accessible from Chy Gwyth. The World Famous Butchart Gardens is only 20 minutes away.

Nataniel Hawthorned (1804-1864). We serve a continental breakfast consisting of home made granola yogurt, and locally grown fresh fruits in season. In addition, freshly ground Kauai coffee and a variety of teas are served with freshly baked muffins, toast, cresents, and home made comestibles and conserves . A full breakfast can also be prepared if requested.

Coffee, tea and freshly made cookies are always available for that early morning or late night snack.

Chy Gwyth is designed to accommodate adults and is not suitable for wheel chair access. There is a family dog on the premises but we do not accept pets travelling with guests. This is a non smoking environment.

Off street parking is secure and free.
