Harbour Lights

We are excited about sharing our home with you. We enjoy visiting with our guests and are happy to share our favourite dining spots &tourist attractions and answer any questions you might have about the area.

We have 3 spacious queen size guestrooms each with an ensuite bathroom.

The pictures and accessories in each suite relate to the Suite names - Cactus Country, Rural Routes and Wine Country. The  picture windows in each Suite allow a panoramic view of Lake Okanagan, the mountains and the sail boats from the Vernon Yacht Club. Comfortable sitting and reading areas add to the warmth and comfort. The patio doors in Wine Country and Rural Routes  allow guests the opportunity of relaxing on the lawn and watching the friendly quail and the colorful ring-necked pheasants that visit throughout the day.
Cactus Country guests have access to the same area and view through the lower level sitting room

There’s so much to see and do in the Vernon area. We encourage you to visit the Vernon Tourism website at www.vernontourism.com. It will give you an idea of how much time you might like to spend in this area. Some of our favorite activities and places to visit are:

    * Gray Monk Winery
    * O’Keefe Historical Ranch
    * Silver Star Mountain
    * Davison Orchards Farm Market
    * Okanagan Opal
    * Winds and Rivers Escapes
    * Predator Ridge
    * Golfing
    * Okanagan Aviation
    * Planet Bee
    * www.thewinefestivals.com
    * The Rise
    * Bears & Berries Tour
    * Mountain Wildflowers Tour

If you need any assistance in booking any adventure tours, golf etc., we’d be more than happy to assist. A couple of the special things some of our guests have really enjoyed are a canoe trip down to Gray Monk Winery, a tasting and lunch, or spending the day digging for Opals with the folks from Okanagan Opal.

We are 5 minutes drive from the Okanagan’s newest golf course and winery at The Rise and 25 minutes from Predator Ridge Golf Course.

Gray Monk Estate Winery and Arrowleaf Winery are 30 minutes away.

Vernon offers many hiking/walking trails through Provincial parks with fabulous lakeviews, 4 sandy beaches on 2 different lakes.

Scenes from our deck include hand gliders, parachuting, water skiing, sail and motor boats, Sunday afternoon boat races and regattas.  Rent a canoe or kayak for the afternoon

We have been members of the Opimian Wine Society for almost 30 year. Doug loves to discuss and to taste wine and has a vast knowledge of the Okanagan wine industry. Since moving to Vernon Doug has become very involved with the Canadian and Vernon Power and Sail Squadrons and spends many enjoyable hours instructing the various boating, VHF Radio and GPS courses offered by the Squadron. Joyce is involved in the social and event planning for the local squadron.  There's nothing like a "On the Water Rendezvous" down the lake when it's 85 degrees and the sun is dancing off the water.

Our combined interests in entertaining, cooking, wine, agriculture, ranching, reading, travel and sailing contribute to the enjoyment of hosting guests at the B & B.

We are enjoying the Okanagan Valley, the lake view and the opportunity to enjoy life at a slower pace – "Come visit us at Harbour Lights – we look forward to sharing it all with you”
