In the summer, swimming, boating and fishing are popular on Okanagan Lake. The main street of Peachland BC – or the Peachland Promenade – runs along the lake, and provides access to 7 kilometres of sandy beaches. Sometimes the best vacations involve nothing more than lazing on the beach. Or head south to Summerland and hop aboard the historic Kettle Valley Railway, one of the last remaining steam railway in the country. The two-hour ride gives a taste of what travel was like, once upon a time.

Hardy Falls Park, near Antlers Beach Park, offers a lovely reprise from soaring temperatures in the summer. A short, easy walking trail leads to a small waterfall at the end of a canyon, traversing several footbridges along the way. Bring a picnic and dip feet in cool waters. Admire the wildflowers in the spring.

To the west and south of Peachland BC is Eneas Lakes Provincial Park, a rustic park with quiet trails and tranquil fishing holes. To the north is Crystal Mountain, where downhill skiers and snowboarders thrive. No matter what the season, there is much to do and see while staying at a Peachland Bed and Breakfast.
